Discovery Channel approached Radley looking to evolve the brand into something more clean, clear and concise with the ability to be more flexible across all genres of programming. Since our relationship stretches back to 2013 serving as the creative agency that launched the current identity system, we were locked, loaded and ready to bring it!
First up, the logo. In 2013 Radley developed a series of globes that defined Discovery’s diverse content. For 2016, we needed to put the focus back on ONE globe. A refined, more photo-realistic globe that could encapsulate all of what Discovery is… “the highest quality non-fiction content that informs and entertains its audience about the world in all its wonder, diversity and amazement.”
The design language establishes a clear, intelligent and modern, brand identity that translates effortlessly across all platforms. Everything form type sizing, to message containers, to the animation pacing of each element is expertly considered and masterfully executed. All of this is done with complete freedom of options between color palette and animations, keeping the package fresh and alive.
